Educator and Author Dr Kevin Donnelly said he wasn’t “surprised” by calls from a prominent academic to change the name of 'English'.
Click to View VideoDr Donnelly taught English for 18 years in Victoria and was a member of the national body, the Australian Association for the Teaching of English. The AATE started “pushing this line” about English being a ‘language of the oppressor’ 20-30 years ago, according to Dr Donnelly.
